What can ATD do for me?

Selective work. Thorough results.

ATD is not a high-volume repair counter. Projects are evaluated individually, with an agreed scope, careful methods and transparent findings.

Conceptual brand imagery only. The settings shown are not presented as ATD premises or customer properties.

01 · Understand the fault

Diagnostics & electrical systems

Symptom analysis, OBD-II data interpretation, sensor plausibility, electrical checks, ground and circuit testing, and investigation of intermittent behavior.

A preliminary scan is not a complete diagnosis. Scope and equipment availability are confirmed before work.

02 · Care for the condition

Detailing & condition work

Careful detailing, cleaning and vehicle-condition attention with an emphasis on visible workmanship and practical preservation.

Specific correction methods, products and availability depend on the vehicle and condition.

03 · Decide with context

Vehicle & purchase reviews

Independent observations of visible condition, available records and appropriate diagnostic data to support a more informed purchase or repair conversation.

Not a guarantee that every hidden defect will be found.

04 · Keep a usable record

Evidence packets & independent second looks

For investigative work, ATD organizes the question, photographs, diagnostic data, tests, relevant repair history, verified findings, competing explanations and a practical next step into a packet the vehicle owner can retain or give to another technician.

Reports reflect evidence actually reviewed and do not automatically establish liability or repair necessity.

How assignments are accepted

Not an hourly clock. A defined problem.

I don't bill by the hour. We first agree on the question being investigated, the methods that make sense and the expected deliverable. Then we agree on terms for that specific assignment.

Because ATD is selective, availability and acceptance are never automatic. Some work is better handled by a specialist, and I will say so when that is the responsible recommendation.

The packet you can keep

What the handoff may contain

  1. Concern, history and agreed scope
  2. As-found photographs and observations
  3. Scan files, tests and measurements, where relevant
  4. Confirmed results and unresolved questions
  5. Sources, decision points and recommended next action

Contents match the nature of the engagement. Documentation is not proof of a repair, warranty or guaranteed fault resolution.

Specialized work

Fleet intelligence & technical resources

ATD is developing fleet inspection records and publishes technical training resources. These are separate from an ordinary consumer service appointment.

Our method

Know what's established

An ATD-style review separates verified observations, competing explanations and the next discriminating test. It should not dress an untested theory up as a confirmed failure.
